Bronze DofE

For young people in Year 9 and above, the Bronze programme introduces expedition skills in a safe, supportive environment. Participants complete one or two-day practice expeditions, followed by a two-day qualifying expedition.

Focus areas include teamwork, map reading, and building navigation confidence for future outdoor adventure.

Silver DofE

Open to Year 10 and above, Silver expeditions build independence, requiring students to plan, lead and complete two-day practice and three-day qualifying hikes.

Participants further develop leadership, problem-solving and outdoor survival skills, key for successful DofE expedition preparation training.

Gold DofE

Aimed at sixth formers (Year 12+), Gold is a challenging expedition experience, including a three-day practice and a four-day qualifying hike. Participants demonstrate advanced leadership, endurance and self-reliance, all supported by our guidance and DofE expedition support.

Expeditions can take place in locations like the Lake District or Snowdonia for a truly memorable challenge.
