About the South Downs Hike

Join Pringle's Peaks for a gently-paced 12km walk starting and finishing in South Harting. Our route meanders through Harting Downs, along cross-ridge dykes, ancient earthworks dating back to the Iron Age. We'll climb Beacon Hill, where expansive vistas of the South Downs unfold, and wander through tranquil yew woods, pausing by a traditional dew pond. Along the way, you might spot the Duke of Burgundy butterfly, rare cheese snails, and the scent of juniper berries in the summer air. This event isn't about racing to the finish but relishing every step.
