The final stage of the DofE journey. As with the Bronze and Silver levels, we will help you design and implement your expedition, organise the expedition area, provide the equipment you need, help guide you through the logistics of the expeditions and any other bits and pieces that crop up to make sure that your expedition runs as smoothly as possible.
For the Gold programme we use recognise Wild Country areas of the UK, for example, The Lake District, Snowdonia and Dartmoor.
Our Gold programme consists of:
5 day training and practise expedition:
Throughout this 5 day expedition we will focus the first two days and night on their training where we will cover; indepth navigation including low visibility navigation, planning their routes for the expedition as well as refresher training in all other aspects of the expedition. They will then complete a 3 day and 3 night expedition supervised by our instructors.
5 day assessed expedition:
The first day and night will be used for travel and preparation for the start of their expedition. On the second day the students will commence their final expedition lasting 4 days and 3 nights. This expedition will be assessed by qualified mountain leaders.
Campsite fees are included in the price.
